Mooikrans Equus is a horse riding centre and holiday farm, situated on the escarpment of the Mpumalanga Highveld, 27km from Morgenzon on the R35 route to Amersfoort.

Mooikrans is a family business that is well known for hospitality, friendliness, and high standards of all activities. It is highly unlikely not to become very good friends of the persons who initially were visitors only. Out motto is: Carpe Diem! Meaning seize the day. This is a mirror image of our Christian values and the faith that every day should be lived to according to His honor. The personnel of the farm strive toward and try their ultimate best to ensure each guest has a pleasant and safe stay.

A variety of educational, psychotherapy and social programs are available.
A broad spectrum of programs is compiled for schools, groups and individual youth- or child to choose from. Programs include leadership development and training, educational programs, a series courses which also include all aspects of natural horsemanship (Western/cowboy) and DIY programs for youth/children groups.
The goals of all the programs are to build the character of each visitor through the development of self-image and self-confidence simultaneously enjoying a holiday.  Here the horse and horse riding plays a significant role.  The horse is used, as the horse needs the rider's attention during all times: brain and body work together to achieve success. Mastering the horse during this process leads to a healthy self-image.

Mooikrans Equus can accommodate 100 persons in seven sleeping quarters.  A number of private rooms are available as well.

Route to Mooikrans from Pretoria:

• From Pretoria take the R21 passing the Airport. Take the Rietfontein offramp, then the Rondebult offramp and lastly the N17 highway to Bethal. In Bethal take the R35 to Morgenzon/ Amersfoort/ Volksrust. In Morgenzon turn left at the Shell Garage and continue on the R35 for 27km. Mooikrans is situated on the right.

From Johannesburg:

• Take the N17 highway to Bethal. In Bethal take the R35 to Morgenzon/Amersfoort/Volksrust. In Morgenzon turn left at the Shell Garage and continue on the R35 for 27km. Mooikrans is situated on the right.
• This route is the shortest, fastest and the scenery is beautiful. Please drive safely between Morgenzon and Mooikrans.

From Nelspruit:

• Drive to Ermelo then Morgenzon.  In Morgenzon turn left on the R35.
• From Morgenzon , Mooikrans is situated 27km on the Amersfoort road on your right hand side.
